I’m a South African who has lived and worked in South Korea prior to relocating to the US. My immersion into multiple cultures feeds my curiosity. I enjoy the process of discerning patterns and behaviours that comprise the cultures and spaces, I have had the opportunity to inhabit. This has made me more adept at considering experience design as a whole.
I’ve long exercised my creative sense to strive toward developing meaningful and delightful digital and tactile contexts. Having begun my career in marketing and branding, I support clients to contextualise branding and messaging within the larger customer experience. I aim to fuse experience design methodologies into my projects to create solutions that fit the customer and the business.
#NURDLIFE UI CONCEPT
The mission of this venture was to capitalize on the growing trend of “the nerd being the new cool”. Specifically, in the event hosting space, there was nothing targeted at this more inclusive subculture. So by primarily featuring events geared towards the subculture of the new nerd, I intended to highlight diversity and inclusivity and reflect the broadened realm of traditional “nerd culture.”
