I’m a South African who has lived and worked in South Korea prior to relocating to the US. My immersion into multiple cultures feeds my curiosity. I enjoy the process of discerning patterns and behaviours that comprise cultures and spaces. This has made me more adept at putting human centric design into practice.
I’ve long exercised my creative sense to strive toward developing meaningful and delightful digital and tactile contexts. Having begun my career in marketing and branding, supporting clients to contextualise branding and messaging within experience design. I aim to create products that benefit both the customer and the business.
#NURDLIFE UI CONCEPT
The mission of this venture was to capitalize on the growing trend of “the nerd being the new cool”. Specifically, in the event hosting space, there was nothing targeted at this more inclusive subculture. So by primarily featuring events geared towards the subculture of the new nerd, I intended to highlight diversity and inclusivity and reflect the broadened realm of traditional “nerd culture.”
